A driver who was involved in a fatal crash was beaten to death by a mob of angry bar patrons, authorities in Mobile County said.
45-year-old Kenneth E. Harrison was traveling in his 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe on Highway 31 late Saturday when he struck 24-year-old Hannah Martin while she crossed the highway to the Tavern sports bar.

Police said that the impact of the crash knocked the victim into a parking lot outside the bar where a mob of patrons stepped out and launched an attack on Harrison.
The driver was so badly beaten that he had to be airlifted to a local trauma center where he died four days later.
Atmore Police Sgt. Darrell McMann said that detectives were “nearing a resolution” in the deadly assault against Harrison.
