A Los Angeles nightclub security guard was ambushed and beaten to death outside his workplace early Sunday morning by a mob of at least seven men, authorities said.
Daniel Sandifer, 32, did not survive the attack that took place at around 2 a.m. outside the Dragonfly Hollywood nightclub.
Police said that the suspects approached Sandifer who was nearing the end of his shift and started beating him leaving him unresponsive on the sidewalk.
The assailants took off but investigators said that the incident was witnessed by many patrons which would help have a description of the suspects.
Sandifer was a hardworking father of two and the sole caregiver for his ailing grandmother who is in hospice care.
“This saddens me for real,” the victim's ex-wife said. “As the mother of his kids, this hurts in so many ways, y'all have no clue.”
“If anyone has any information, I ask you that you give that information and try to get justice for Daniel.”
