Florida Police seeks public's help in identifying woman after remains found in 3 suitcases

Delray Beach Police said Monday afternoon that the human remains found in three suitcases late last week are of the same victim.

On Friday, a witness called 911 to report finding something suspicious in the Intracoastal Waterway.

Investigators first located a suitcase with human remains inside; they determined that the victim was a “white or Hispanic middle-aged woman with brown hair and approximately 5'4” tall.”

Not long afterward, detectives found more human remains stuffed inside two other suitcases near the scene.

  • Police said that the remains in the three suitcases were of the same victim adding that she was wearing a floral tank top, a black undershirt, and black mid-thigh shorts.

    Authorities are asking for the public's help in collecting surveillance footage from the scene between July 17 and July 20.

    They said that the luggage containing the remains appear to have been initially placed in the water.
