Miami-Dade news, Florida news.

A Miami-Dade teen is behind bars after she allegedly sought to hire a hitman to get rid of her 3-year-old son in the worst possible way, authorities said.

Jazmin Paez, 18, was charged with first-degree solicitation of murder after she solicited the services of an assassin to kill her toddler before Thursday.

The sick mother submitted her child's pictures and location at a fake website where investigators posed as the hitman.

  • Paez even agreed to pay the for-hire killer $3,000, police said. Investigators located Paez's IP address and interviewed the toddler's grandmother before arresting the teen.

Police said that the fake murder-for-hire site's operator saved the child's life when he tipped them off to the mother's bloody intentions.

“The ability to research names and addresses and verify the intended target lived in a particular address. That to me is a red flag. If that information is corroborated, to me that is something that needs to be looked at and that's why I referred it,” Robert Innes said.
