Authorities in Somersworth, New Hampshire, have arrested a suspect in connection with a deadly assault that unfolded in a local Walmart parking lot this week.
Officers discovered 79-year-old Jan VanTassel dead with severe head and facial injuries in the parking lot of the store late Friday.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene with detectives determining that he was brutally beaten in the head and face.
Brian Roberge was arrested and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the elderly man's slaying.
Officials did not disclose the suspect and victim's relationship. Roberge's next court appearance was slated for Monday.
