A Florida woman was busted late Thursday shortly after she attacked three nurses at a hospital while trying to take her baby off a ventilator.
Kendra Greene, 31, stabbed the three hospital employees at Florida Palms West at around 10:30 p.m. as they tried to intervene and stop her from stealing the 3-day-old infant.
The woman allegedly “violently removed” the girl from the ventilator, freeing her from life-supporting devices including breathing and feeding tubes.
Police said that one of three victims was wounded on the right forearm, another on the side of their neck, and the third on the right hand.
The suspect later dropped the newborn off with a relative and drove away. She later crashed her car and was arrested.
Authorities said that Greene was schizophrenic and her condition was worsening; her infant was rushed back to the ICU in stable condition.
