Lake County news, South Dakota news.

A South Dakota girl was killed in a boating accident Monday afternoon when her innertube collided with a jet ski on Lake Madison.

Emily Gorman, of Harrisburg, was tubing on the lake about 30 miles west of the Minnesota border when the deadly accident unfolded.

Emily, or Emmy as her friends and loved ones called her, was an eighth-grader at Harrisburg North Middle School. She was selected to be a member of the Welcome Team next fall.
