Mom, boyfriend arrested after girl's decomposed remains found in trash bin outside Memphis home

A Memphis, Tennessee couple was arrested over the death of a 4-year-old girl whose decomposed remains were found inside a garbage bin Thursday night.

Investigators believe that Jaylon Hobson beat Sequioa Samuels to death and placed her lifeless body in several garbage bags before keeping it inside the home he shared with the victim's mother for weeks.

The couple then put the decomposed remains in a garbage bin outside the home. The child's mother, Britteny Jackson, called 911 on Thursday to report Sequioa missing.

    Jackson eventually confessed that Hobson fatally attacked Sequioa several weeks ago.

    She was charged with aggravated child neglect, abuse of a corpse, and false offense report. Hobson was charged with a false offense report.
