Florida basketball coach found dead in park: 'We are devastated'

A missing Florida basketball coach was discovered dead in a Delray Beach park roughly a week after he vanished without a trace.

Makuach Yak's remains were found Friday evening in the Delray Oaks Natural Area, authorities said.

“Right now, it appears his death is not criminal in nature,” police said in a statement. “The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. The investigation remains open.”

    Surveillance footage caught him in his front yard at around 6:30 a.m. The friend said that his wallet, phone, keys, and Apple Watch were all left behind.

    Following Yak's disappearance, his friends and relatives held several search missions throughout the city hoping to find him alive.

    “We ask that you pray for his family and all who loved him. We are devastated,” they said on a Facebook group named Missing: Find Coach Yak.
