A missing Manteno, Mississippi man was found dead and dismembered in a salvage yard and investigators have named and charged a suspect in the killing.
On Thursday, Randall Robinson II's remains were identified by the Kankakee County Coroner's Office after he was found under a pile of garbage in a two-wheeler trailer at the salvage yard.
“The trailer had been abandoned at the end of the driveway,” the salvage yard's owner said. “I certainly didn't think anything like this. It's just the last thing I thought would be out here.”
Police arrested 37-year-old Anthony E. Gulley and charged him with homicide, concealment of a death and dismemberment among other charges.
It is believed that Robinson, 49, was killed on Jan. 27, nearly two months before his family reported him missing.
After the murder, Gulley was arrested for a firearm offense and bailed out of jail, court records showed.
He also has an open battery case from 2021. Investigators are working to determine a motive for the gruesome killing.
