Los Angeles Rapper MoneySign Suede is dead after being fatally stabbed in a prison shower Wednesday.
The rapper, whose real name is Jaime Brugada Valdez, suffered stab wounds to the neck before he was found dead shortly before 10 p.m. in the showers of the Correctional Training Facility in Soledad, California.
His attorney, Nicholas Rosenberg, said that his client had previously been attacked in jail where he was serving a two-year eight-month sentence for possession/owning of a firearm by a felon or addict and a one-year four-month sentence for possession of a firearm with a conviction of a violent felony.
“People are very shocked. He was a very popular guy, very mild-mannered. People loved him,” Rosenberg said of the 22-year-old victim.
MoneySign Suede had just shared a chilling Facebook post while in prison telling his fans that “Life is too short, enjoy it while you here.”
