'Great talent gone too soon': Rapper collapses on stage, dies in front of horrified fans

South African rapper Costa Titch died shortly after collapsing on stage during his set at the Ultra Music Festival in Johannesburg.

The 27-year-old rapper, born Constantinos Tsobanoglou appeared to stumble before abruptly finishing the track and collapsing to the ground.

His family informed horrified fans of his death at a hospital thanking them for their support.

“Death has tragically knocked at our door, robbing us of our beloved son, brother, and grandson,” the family's statement reads.

    Costa Titch started his artistic career as a backup dancer before breaching into the rap industry in 2020.

    Since he earned an award for his performance and signed to Akon's record label Konvict Kulture.

    Following his sudden demise, tributes flooded social media.

    “RIP, Costa Titch,” Rapper Da L.E.S wrote on Twitter. “Great talent gone too soon.”
