An Oklahoma man was arrested after a brief standoff with police following an incident that saw him tossing an unresponsive woman, wrapped in a blanket, off the 4th-floor balcony of a Tulsa building.
Richard Lee Wallace then reiterated back to his apartment and barricaded himself there for a while before deciding to surrender, authorities said.
“On 3/18/2023, around 4:30 a.m., officers were called to investigate a report of a woman thrown from the 4th-floor balcony of the Hewgley Terrace Apartments at 420 S. Lawton,” police said.
The woman was found alive and rushed in critical condition to a hospital suffering broken bones and other injuries.
Wallace was charged with aggravated assault and battery in connection to the incident. His bond was set at $10,000.
