Wisconsin cheese factory owners shot to death by son who wanted to 'eliminate them'

A Wisconsin man was charged with the murders of his parents after he allegedly shot them to death and left a journal revealing his intention to “eliminate them”.

Erik Metzig is accused of killing David and Jan Metzig, aged 72 and 71 years old, at the Wolf River home where all three lived.

The couple's bullet-riddled bodies were found along with an AR rifle, a handgun, and shooting glasses.

    The Metzigs were the owners of a local cheese factory. Erik's motive was not made public.

    He was charged with first-degree intentional homicide.
