A Missouri offender was charged with murder after the body of his female acquaintance was found in his residence Monday.
Jacquelyn Elizabeth Mitchell, 39, went missing on March 14 after visiting the apartment of Joseph John Dejoie on Palestra Drive.
Michell's sister said that her phone last pinged in the area which helped investigators in their search for her.
Dejoie, 49, was caught on surveillance video driving Mitchell's Nissan Sentra which was later abandoned near Interstate 270 and Page Avenue.
A search of Dejoie's residence resulted in the discovery of Mitchell's remains; authorities said that she had been dead for six days.
Dejoie allegedly admitted to the slaying of Mitchell, an acquaintance, and to trying to get rid of her body and car.
