Murfreesboro news, Tennessee news.

An elderly Tennessee man was arrested this week and charged with murder after the lifeless body of his wife was found in their garage on Thursday.

80-year-old Phokam Saysourinho allegedly stabbed 68-year-old Thatsaphone Saysourinho and killed her at the garage of their West Murfreesboro home, police said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene just after 4 p.m. Saysourinho had fled the home.

“It's the last thing we suspected,” said Tyler Dunn, the Saysourinhos' next-door neighbor.

“There were no signs to make anyone on the outside think anything like that would ever happen.”
