An Arizona man admitted to killing his wife with a gun he had just purchased inside their apartment where the couple's four children witnessed the murder.
38-year-old Mohammad Alkurdi gunned down his wife Tuesday afternoon and hid her body in a closet before telling a neighbor “I shot her.”
The neighbor called 911 and officers responded to the Chandler apartment to find Alkurdi armed with a firearm and sitting with his children who are under the age of 9.
According to court records, Alkurdi bought the gun last weekend and purchased the bullets on Tuesday hours before committing the alleged crime.
Police said that Alkurdi had previously threatened the victim with a knife and that there were several prior domestic violence incidents at the home.
