Brothers, 9 & 6, shot by stray bullet while watching cartoon; older boy dies

Las Vegas news, Nevada news.

Two Nevada brothers were shot, one fatally, by a stray bullet while watching “SpongeBob” in their apartment last week.

SirArmani Clark, 9, was struck in the head and died at a hospital after a bullet pierced through the wall while he and 6-year-old Honor Tate watched TV on March 10.

The younger boy was also struck in the leg, his devasted mom said.

“We hop up out of bed, we run into the living room. We heard Honor whimper. No sound from Armani...He doesn't say anything. He doesn't respond to me. All I can visual at this point is my baby's head dropping and falling to the side,” Justine Tate said.

“To me it does not look like at this time that this home was targeted, but we'll have to determine that through our investigation but at this time it does not appear to be that way,” Lt. Jason Johansson said.

Through tears, Justine said that her surviving son will never be the same after losing his brother.

“He is so traumatized. He doesn't want to leave the house...yesterday when I went to clean his wounds he immediately was like, 'Mama, I want Armani.'”

“My children didn't deserve any of this! Honor must go on with life after he has watched the most traumatizing thing a 6-year-old can imagine.”
