Pennsylvania man attempts to kill hospitalized father, 92, with blanket

A Pennsylvania man is accused of trying to kill his 92-year-old father with a blanket as the elderly man was being treated at a Camp Hill hospital late Sunday.

John Stoll Jr. was stopped by an employee while trying to kill his father at Penn State Holy Spirit Hospital, police said.

“The investigation revealed the suspect attempted to kill the victim inside a patient room,” the East Pennsboro Police Department said.

    The suspect was approached by officers outside the hospital and after initially denying the allegations, he “admitted he was attempting to kill his father.”

    Stoll was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, and strangulation. He is being held at Cumberland County Prison on $250,000 bail.
