Tacoma news, Washington news.

A Washington dad, who insisted he did not harm his deceased baby, admitted that he “killed” him on the way to jail, authorities said.

Samuel Bryon Kennedy, 23, started yelling in distress and saying “I killed my kid” after he allegedly brought his dying 4-month-old son to a hospital with severe head trauma on Tuesday.

The baby died hours later and doctors told authorities that Kenney had brought the same boy to the hospital days earlier with similar injuries that were consistent with abuse.

But following his arrest, Kennedy admitted that the baby started crying when his brother threw the bottle so he “got frustrated and shook him.”

“I didn't mean to kill him,” Kennedy told investigators.

An autopsy confirmed the infant's cause of death as blunt force trauma to the head; the death was ruled a homicide.
