Nashville news, Tennessee news.

Country music singer and songwriter Kyle Jacobs is dead from an apparent suicide at the age of 49, Nashville Police said.

The husband of “American Idol” star Kellie Pickler took his own life inside the couple's $2.4 million residence in Nashville at around 1:20 p.m. Friday.

Police said that Jacobs' wife of 12 years called 911 when she failed to find him. Officers located the man's body inside a locked upstairs bedroom and office. They said he shot himself dead.
