Georgia mom charged with murder after allowing boyfriend to beat son 'till death'

Authorities in DeKalb County, Georgia have charged a 25-year-old woman with murder over the death of her 4-year-old son at the hands of her boyfriend who is still at large.

Malisha Sasfras was arrested after the February 11 passing of the child who dies shortly after arriving at a hospital with significant abuse injuries.

Investigators said that “based on physical evidence” found at the scene, an apartment in Candler Forest complex, Sasfras' boyfriend Javonte Harris, abused the child by “punching and causing other injuries.”

  • Sasfras allegedly allowed Harris “to abuse the child multiple times and knowing the abuse was going on” and let her boyfriend “continue to abuse the child till death.”

    “We need your help in locating Mr. Javonte Harris who is wanted for Cruelty to Children & Felony Murder in connection with this incident,” the DeKalb County Police Department said on Twitter.

    “If you have any info on the whereabouts of Mr. Harris please call 911 or the DeKalb County Special Victims Unit at 770-724-7710.”
