A North Carolina father and his infant daughter were found shot dead along with a man police believe was a suspect in the triple shooting.
Terrance Jaiquann Melvin, 26, Johnathan Alexander McMillian, 33, and Melvin's severely injured daughter were found inside a Fayetteville home at around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
The infant later succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds at a local hospital. Family members identified the baby as Melvin's daughter who was left with him for a brief amount of time by her mother.
“He was in the house enjoying some quality time with his daughter and basically he was assassinated,” Mevin's employer at a car wash said.
“Anytime, if you're in your home and somebody comes in...and takes your life with your child in your hand, that says a lot about the character of the person that killed him.”
Investigators said that the triple shooting was the result of an argument between Mevin and McMillian.
