Shooting inside Fayetteville home: 2 adults dead, infant wounded

Authorities in Fayetteville, North Carolina said that an infant was shot along with two adults who succumbed to their injuries inside a home late Tuesday.

Officers responded to reports of a shooting inside the residence on the 1100 block of Bunce Road in Fayetteville at around 8:30 p.m.

“When officers arrived on scene, they located two adult victims inside a residence suffering from gunshot wounds and they were pronounced deceased on scene,” police said in a statement.

  • An infant was also found suffering gunshot wounds and taken to a local hospital. The child's condition is unknown.

    “Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit have assumed the investigation, and the investigation is ongoing,” the statement added.

    “Additional information will be released as it becomes available.”
