A missing Georgia girl's remains were discovered in a Gwinnett County forest along Highway 316 Monday, months after she vanished on her way back home last summer.

Susana Morales was reported missing in late July when she last texted her mother telling her she was on the way to their Windscape Village Lane home.

Morales' cellphone located her walking that way from 10:07 p.m. to 10:21 p.m. before she got into a vehicle that took her to Oak Loch Trace and Steve Reynolds Boulevard. Her cell phone then was turned off.

The Gwinnett Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the remains as Morales' using dental records. A cause of death is pending.
