Detroit news, Michigan news.

Authorities in Detroit identified human remains found buried last week as a missing woman last seen alive in November.

A utility worker spotted a hand in the ground and called 911. The Wayne County medical examiner's office identified the woman as 28-year-old Alyssa Itchue.

“I just felt in my heart that it was her,” the woman's mom said.

“If it was just an overdose, she wouldn't have been buried. In my heart, I feel that somebody hurt her.”

Authorities did not release Itchue's cause of death as the investigation continues.
