A Baltimore man confessed to beating his elderly mother to death amid an argument Wednesday afternoon.
Kevin Burke, 52, called the police to say that his 75-year-old mother, Stewartress Burke, was dead in her room and that he needed to talk to detectives.
When officers arrived, Burke led them to his mother’s lifeless body and confessed to assaulting her to death amid an argument.

Burke said that earlier in the day, he and his mother started arguing before he knocked her down and punched her in the face.
He added that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and was off medication at the time.
Burke was charged with first-degree murder.
