New York City news, New York news.

A New York City woman is accused of killing her two young sons at a Bronx shelter in a horrific bloodbath Saturday, police said.

The 11-month-old and 3-year-old children were stabbed several times “in the neck and torso” at around 8 p.m.

Officers responded to the scene over reports of a “female acting erratic” and lighting objects on fire.

They arrested the 22-year-old mother Dimone Fleming at the scene. She was taken to Saint Barnabas Hospital for evaluation.

“He was screaming hysterically. He was screaming help me! And I came and opened my door and I see him coming down the hall with the two boys in his arms,” she said.

“They were dead. There was blood everywhere, covered them,” the neighbor said of the victims. “It was over. It’s heartbreaking, it was horrible.”

Another neighbor said that he helped the children’s father pull them out of an overflowing tub where they had been when officers first responded and “walked past” them.

“It’s just sad. I told [the dad] to put him on the bed, the oldest one, I tried to give CPR, to give him air but it wasn’t working.”
