Chandler, Arizona authorities said that a father had taken his own life after trying to kill his two young children late Saturday.
At around 7:50 p.m. officers were at the scene in the area of Queen Creek and Alma School roads after receiving a call from a mother reporting that her two children were shot.

Police learned that the man, who did not live at the address, arrived and started a “domestic violence incident.”
The man then shot his two kids, who are listed in “extremely critical condition”, before turning the gun on himself. The woman was not harmed.
Investigators said that the couple was known to local authorities with a history of domestic violence incidents.
