A deputy medical examiner in Dallas was fatally shot by her estranged husband who then put an end to his life, police said.
Beth Frost, 46, was gunned down at her workplace on the second floor of the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office by her 51-year-old husband James Frost.
“Dr. Bernard who is our director said there was a husband and wife incident and that the doctor who worked for us had been killed and that apparently her husband then killed himself,” Dallas County Commissioner John Wiley Price said.
It remains unclear how the suspect managed to access the tightly secured office with a gun.
“That building is a lot more secure than that so I don’t know if she let him in,” Price added.
