Authorities in Los Angeles said that at least one person was killed and 12 others sustained severe injuries when a car plowed into a taco stand late Friday in Pomona.
The slain victim was pronounced dead at the scene while ten others required hospitalization with critical wounds, the LA Fire officials said.

Police started a frantic search for the female driver who crashed a dark-colored vehicle into the busy stand at Holt Avenue and Dudley Street at around 7:45 p.m.
“Initially, the driver ran away from the scene, and our officers began searching for her,” Pomona Police Department Spokesperson Aly Mejia said.
About an hour later, it was reported that the 26-year-old driver turned herself in but did not provide details regarding the arrest.
