President Biden, First Lady arrive in Florida to assess damage from Hurricane Ian

President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden touched down in Fort Myers, Florida on Wednesday where they are expected to assess the devastation and damage from last week’s hurricane.

The White House said that the Bidens’ visit to Fort Myers aims to “reaffirm his commitment to supporting the people of Florida as they recover and rebuild from the devastating storm.”

    After an aerial tour of the devastated town, Biden is expected to meet DeSantis and local and federal officials who were in response to scores of Floridians during and after the natural disaster.
