Foul odor leads to gruesome discovery of dismembered body in Brooklyn housing complex unit

Body parts stuffed in suitcases were found Wednesday in a Brooklyn housing complex unit, the NYPD said.

Officers and a medical examiner responded to the gruesome scene in a sixth-floor apartment of the Linwood street building where a superintendent made the discovery and called police at around 1:30 p.m.

    Sources close to the investigation said that a significant amount of blood was found at the scene and that body parts were in several suitcases.

    A person of interest is being sought for questioning, police said. No information about the victim was immediately confirmed.
