Authorities in Slidell, Louisiana have arrested a suspect accused of fatally shooting his coworker at a car dealership before taking off on foot.
Brian Taylor, 23, was initially described as “armed and dangerous” after he fatally shot his coworker at a Hyundai dealership at around 5:30 p.m. after an altercation.
The victim, identified as 22-year-old Zakary Stewart, was pronounced dead outside the dealership.
He had recently moved to Louisiana from Alabama and was residing with some friends on West End Boulevard in Slidell, police learned. An autopsy was scheduled for next week.
Taylor was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. following an extensive manhunt involving the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Louisiana State Police.
