Authorities in Los Angeles, California said Monday that Rapper PnB Rock was fatally shot at an Inglewood restaurant amid a robbery.
At around 1:23 p.m., the Philadelphia rapper was killed at Roscoe’s Chicken and Waffles when the armed suspect targeted his jewelry.
“He shot the victim and ran out the side door to a getaway car and then fled the parking lot,” LA Police Capt. Kelly Muniz said.
The 30-year-old artist, born Rakim Hasheem Allen, died from his injuries at a local hospital at 2 p.m.
“His passing represents an enormous loss to each and every one of us,” the popular eatery chain said in a statement.
“Our most heartfelt condolences, thoughts and prayers go to the Allen family at this difficult time.”
