Mitchell news, Iowa news.

An Iowa man, believed to be a Satanist, was arrested Monday in connection with the gruesome murder and decapitation of a missing woman.

Angela Bradbury’s skull was found on a stick in July 2021, nearly three months after she vanished. A hiker made the grisly discovery on the Cedar River Greenbelt Trail near Mitchell.

The 29-year-old woman’s friend told detectives that on April 6, 2021, Bradbury was picked up by Nathan Gilmore, 23, who brought her to the friend’s home.

After months of investigation through Motor Vehicles records, court documents linked Gilmore to Bradbury, and phone data, detectives arrested Gilmore for questioning.

The suspect admitted to picking up Bradbury from jail that day but denied killing her. Messages on his phone revealed a disturbing description of Bradbury’s death.

Police said that a search of Gilmore’s home revealed chilling drawings on a whiteboard including that of a bloody goat head and numbers indicating dates and terms related to the crime.
