A Missouri girl is not expected to survive after a suicide attempt according to her mother who blamed bullying incidents at school for the teen’s actions.

Mary Butler said that on August 8, 14-year-old Spirit hung herself in the closet and was found unresponsive on the floor.

“I feel like my baby just gave up. My baby hung herself in the closet,” Butler said.”

However, the bullying incidents continued at school with Spirit trying to skip classes and get suspended to avoid the harassment. Mary believes Spirit took her own life because she was scared of returning to school in a few weeks.

Spirit is currently on life support and doctors are awaiting Mary’s word to put an end to her pain.

“My baby is in that hospital and they’re saying she’s not coming home because of this. My baby’s not gonna be able to be with me in my future. She didn’t deserve this.”
