A woman suspected of shooting three men to death in different locations across Lynn, Mass. was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound Tuesday afternoon, police said.
All four people are believed to be related, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett said noting that the crime scenes were within a mile of each other.
Two men, aged 66 and 34, were shot and killed at the 98 Rockaway Street where residents recalled hearing a dozen gunshots being fired at around 3 p.m.
Police officers then responded to the parking lot of a Stop and Shop at around 4:30 p.m. where a woman had turned a gun on herself.
The fourth decedent was located inside a vehicle in 44 Laighton Street, which is near the Stop and Shop where the suicide took place. One of the victims is believed to be the woman’s father.
“Honestly it’s a miracle hopefully no one was in the streets when it was happening, but I’m sure some people witnessed it and a lot of trauma happened today,” a resident said.
