Brothers jump to death off Martha’s Vineyard bridge

The search continues for the body of one of two brothers who jumped off a popular Martha’s Vineyard bridge over the weekend.

Authorities identified the brothers as 26-year-old Tavaris Bulgin and his 21-year-old brother Tavaughn Bulgin. The body of the former victim was located Monday morning while that of his sibling remains unaccounted for.

The Jamaican brothers were working seasonal jobs at Normans Restaurant in Marta’s Vineyard when they went to visit the famous bridge that appeared in the 1975 horror classic “Jaws.”

    “Tavaris was well known as a beloved school teacher, and Tavaughn was known to be a musical prodigy and gifted soccer/football player.”

    “Both boys were destined to make an impact in every community they served and every endeavor they pursued.”

    Authorities said that the brothers were among four people that jumped into the deep water. The two other daredevils made it to safety.
