Authorities in Palm Desert, California said that a Friday double-murder is being investigated as a “domestic violence” incident after a man stabbed his wife and another man to death and tried to take his own life.
Police said that at around 6:55 a.m., Kenny Wu targeted his wife Yaying Wu, 31, and Jesus Sanchez, 30, in the parking lot of the Spring Hill Suites Hotel and stabbed both of them to death.
When officers arrived, they found the 34-year-old with critical wounds and pronounced the two victims dead at the scene.
“Through the course of the investigation, and video surveillance review, this incident was determined to be a case of domestic violence,” Sheriff’s Sgt. Ben Ramirez said.
Kenny Wu is listed as a licensed nurse on California state records while his wife was an entrepreneur selling jewelry on Etsy.
