A young Indianapolis father was found dead with his children in a pond more than a week after they mysteriously vanished, authorities said.
Kyle Moorman, 27, and his children, Kyle Moorman Jr., 5, Kyrannah Holland, 2, and Kyran Holland, 1, were discovered Tuesday after they went night-fishing on July 7, family says.
“We know a man and three young kids are dead tonight. We don’t know why and we don’t know how,” IMPD Assistant Chief Chris Bailey said.
The father’s body was first discovered in the pond before those of his three children were located in a submerged car, a Black Saab, using sonar technology.
Family of the victims voiced their anger over the police handling of the case suggesting the pond should have been searched sooner than that.
“They should have at least tried,” one said.
