A Georgia child died in a hot car after his mother forgot about him and went to work at Walgreens, police said.
When the mother realized her fatal mistake, she called the police at around 1:30 p.m. The 12-month-old was rushed to Piedmont Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

During questioning, the mother said that she had dropped off her two other children at a daycare and planned to drop the infant at another daycare.
But instead, she kept driving to her workplace and spent around three hours there before discovering the baby was still in the car.
Police said that temperatures inside the vehicle reached 100 degrees; The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is handling the case.
