The remains of a Georgia woman who went missing in November 2021 were found in a shallow grave in her own backyard on Wednesday.
Authorities had initially asked the public to help locate 64-year-old Julie Marie Catron suggesting that she “may have traveled from Columbus, Georgia to Destin, Florida or Crestview, Florida.”
Earlier this week, on June 29, the Columbus Police Department announced that Catron’s body was found buried in her backyard on Carriage Drive.
“In the course of a missing person investigation, Columbus Police Department investigators have located what appears to be human remains on a property in the 2600 block of Carriage Drive,” the statement said.
No arrests were made in connection with Catron’s murder.
