Badly decomposed body found in Boynton Beach canal

Authorities in Boynton Beach, Florida have revealed grisly details about a badly discomposed body that was found in a local canal Monday.

Police received a call about a deceased person in the 10000 area of 90th Street and located the body on the south side of the canal at around 8:20 a.m.

  • Investigators determined that the person had been there for a long while since the corpse was insect-infested and partially eaten by animals.

    “The unidentified individual was located on the south side of the canal in the advanced stages of decomposition, severe animal and insect activity was present,” the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

    “Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division arrived on the scene to investigate further. The Medical Examiner investigator responded and the remains were transported to the ME’s Office where an autopsy will be performed to determine more.”
