Houston Police investigate after man’s decomposed body found in creek

Authorities in Houston, Texas are asking for the public’s help identifying a man’s badly decomposed body found in the Clear Creek Bayou on June 22.

The gruesome discovery was made by a construction worker who called the police after spotting the human remains in the water.

  • Officers said that the man was wearing a polo shirt and hospital scrubs adding that the body was in the “late stages of decomposition.”

    The Harris County Institute of Forensic Scientists will be conducting an autopsy to identify the decedent and determine a cause of death.

    But investigators urged anyone with information regarding the finding to contact the Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit at (713) 274-9100.
