Storm kills man in Minnesota when huge tree fell onto campervan

An Arizona man is dead after a tree fell onto his campervan in Minnesota during a violent storm late Monday, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said.

Mark Bunney, 72, and his 66-year-old wife Debra Bunney were trapped inside the camper that got heavily damaged following the incident.

  • Police received a call from Debra Bunney and rushed to the Elmwood Resort on Lake Mary with the assistance of the fire department.

    Rescuers managed to free her and recover her husband’s body. the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff's office statement added.

    Strong winds hit the lake and surrounding areas Monday night damaging boats and docks and uprooting massive trees.
