Florida authorities have arrested a 35-year-old man accused of beating an infant and his aunt to death before shooting a man and killing him while fleeing police.
Dale Daniel Spidle was charged with first-degree murder, premeditated murder, robbery, aggravated battery, and a slew of other counts over the May 20 crime spree that started at the apartment of 61-year-old
Elizabeth Carmona and her 10-month-old nephew.
“After entering the victims’ residence, Spidle attacked both victims without provocation and fled the residence, resulting in several crashes and the murder of another male adult in Pompano Beach,” police said.
The Broward County Medical Examiner’s Office said the baby and his aunt died from “blunt force trauma; a neighbor told local news outlets that Spidle had previously complained about the baby’s crying and had issues with his parents.
“I feel sorry for him because his life is over. But I feel worse for the parents losing a child,” the neighbor added.
