A Texas baby died Friday in a hot car where she had been left for hours as temperatures hit the lower 90s in Houston.
Police said that the 10-month-old girl was forgotten in the car by her mom that realized the fatal mistake at around 1:30 p.m.

“Once the mother realized she had left the infant in the vehicle, she returned and found her unresponsive,” police said.
The baby was pronounced dead at HCA Houston Healthcare; a Harris County grand jury is considering whether to file charges against the mother.
It comes one day after a 1-year-old boy died in similar conditions in Memphis where a daycare employee unintentionally left him in a scorching hot car.
