Oregon boy, 16, with criminal history kills 13-year-old girl found dumped in small stream

The alleged killer of a 13-year-old Oregon girl was identified Friday as a 16-year-old boy with a lengthy criminal record.

Milana Li was found dead in a small stream in Westside Linear Park near her family home hours after she vanished on May 8.

Daniel Ryan Gore was charged with first-degree murder and will likely be tried as an adult; prosecutors said that his criminal history dated back to 2020.

    At around the same time, Gore’s father notified police that his fugitive son was believed to be in Beaverton; he had run away twice from a shelter for juveniles and from his father’s Salem home.

    The medical examiner’s office had ruled Li’s death a homicide but did not specify a cause of death.
