Human remains of an elderly Florida man were discovered in a shallow
grave behind his Miami home after his girlfriend made a chilling confession about the murder to a neighbor.
Clio Marcia Trice, 50, told the neighbor that she hit her victim’s head before strangling him to death.
The 81-year-old man’s decomposed body was found in a flies-infected grave under a plank in the couple’s backyard earlier this week.
A neighbor described the deceased man as “very frail” and recalled seeing him walking with a stick.
Trice told investigators that she had been living with the victim since 2008 but in recent years she became his caregiver before killing him on Friday.
The suspect was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. She was reportedly denied bond.
